I was recently visiting with a young man looking to purchase his fist home with his wife and children, He talked, I listened as we drove to see the first listing. The more I listened the more I realized that he didn't have a clue how things worked. It's very frustrating for everyone when lenders say yes I can give you a preapproval letter only to later deny that person. I knew that he had several hurdles to jump before he would be ready to buy but he is convinced he is good to go now because he has a preapproval letter. He also mentioned that he knows that it is a buyer's market, Of course here at least, it is far from that. There is a fine line between helping a client understand and offending them. Where does all the misinformation come from?
